Brown County Community MusicP.O. Box 2044, Nashville, Indiana, USA 47448 We are a non-profit all volunteer group that started in October 1999 through the Brown County Center for Lifelong Learning, of the County Parks and Recreation Department. We are also known as the Brown County Community Band. Musicians range from those who have not played in many years to a handful of professionals who are willing to work together to perform music and serve the community. We meet Thursday nights to practice
from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown County High School,
in downtown Nashville. The purpose of our group is to provide cultural, recreational and economic benefits to the community and to advance, develop, and foster interest and appreciation of music. We wish to thank the community for its strong support. We work closely with the local school music programs and wish to thank the School Corporation for its continued support. We have applied for and received 501(c)(3) status, (with an effective date of July 11, 2002) which allows tax deductions for donations made to our non-profit organization. Please consult your tax consultant for specifics as to how this could affect your contributions. Membership is extended to all qualified musicians. There are no dues. Be sure to visit our Concert Calendar page. If you are interested in our history, be sure to visit our Charter page. Selections from our Spring Concert may be found in the Tunes page, along with our thanks to the groups who have supported our efforts. We work under the leadership of music director Raymond E. Laffin. We welcome new members. If you are interested in joining or wish to find out more contact us - Ray Laffin - rlaf@iquest.net (812) 988-8768
